How Arizona Pug Party & Rescue Operates

Founded in 2020 as a social group for pug lovers across Arizona, Arizona Pug Party became a nonprofit, foster-based rescue in 2022. Our organization is led by a dedicated board of full-time professionals who balance their careers with hands-on rescue work, supported by a team of passionate volunteers. Together, we are committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding loving homes for pugs in need.

Arizona Pug Party and Rescue is volunteer-run. Harassment, repeated messages, or bypassing the process will not result in faster service and may result in refusal of assistance.

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pugs while breaking down barriers to adoption and ensuring every dog has the chance to live a happy, healthy life. Through compassionate care, community engagement, and strong partnerships, we not only place pugs in forever homes but also create a supportive, inclusive community that celebrates the breed and strengthens the bond between people and their pets.

Arizona Pug Party and Rescue (APPR) is a 100% foster-based, volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a shelter facility. Every dog in our care lives in a foster home while waiting for adoption.

Because of this model, our capacity is limited. Every intake, surrender, adoption, and emergency depends on available foster homes, funding, and volunteers.

• Decisions are made based on the dogs already in our care
• Saying “no” or “not yet” is sometimes necessary
